**MANUAL DISCONTINUED AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE.** The ALST was developed to screen for deficits associated with spoken language. No portion of this test evaluates a student’s skills in written language. It screens for deficits in the dimensions of language use, content, and form (Bloom & Lahey, 1978). The ALST consists of seven subtests: 1) Pragmatics, 2) Receptive Vocabulary, 3) Concepts, 4) Expressive Vocabulary (a. Naming to confrontation, b. Naming to description, c. Use of lexical items), 5) Sentence Formulation, 6) Morphology, and 7) Phonology. 11-17 years (n=775) Norm-Referenced Morgan & Guilford Pro-Ed
