Description

**DISCLAIMER: THIS TEST IS NOT LONGER IN PRINT.** The VMPAC is designed to aid in the systematic assessment of the neuromotor integrity of the motor speech system in children who have speech production disorders. It can be used to determine the presence of a motor disruption in a child’s speech production, to identify the level(s) of disruption in motor speech control, and to identify modalities (auditory, visual, tactile) that may help the child learn normalized motor speech control. It also assists in developing effective treatment protocols and documenting changes in motor speech abilities over time. The VMPAC is not a test of articulation or language. It is a step-by-step assessment of the neuromotor integrity of the speech production system at rest and when engaged in vegetative and volitional non-speech and speech tasks. The speech tasks consist of linguistically meaningful and non-meaningful vocal productions. A training videotape is available. 3-12 years Norm-Referenced Hayden & Square Pearson
