Can we send the loan items home with our students?2023-05-16T14:49:10-05:00

This is up to your district administrators since they are assuming the responsibility of the costs if an item is lost or damaged. Some districts have modified their district technology agreements for parents to sign before sending an esOPTS loan item home.

Does the loan program close during the summer?2023-05-16T14:48:22-05:00

The loan program remains open for students continuing to receive public education services during the summer as long as the school continues to remain responsible for the device AND the school returns the device on the designated due date.

How does shipping work?2023-05-16T14:48:29-05:00

Customers who receive their items via pick-up or a pre-scheduled visit are not required to pay a shipping fee. However, loans that Easterseals delivers or ships will be charged a $25 shipping fee. Customers are responsible for shipping the items back to Easterseals at their expense. We encourage customers to purchase insurance when shipping loan items back to esOPTS. How many items can I borrow at one time?2023-05-16T14:48:55-05:00

Loanees can borrow a maximum of 5 loan items. Loanees may also borrow our kits, which are a collection of several devices that count as 1 loan item.

I can’t find the device I’m looking for.2023-05-17T13:41:07-05:00

If you are unable to find the device you are looking for, please reach out to outreachprogram@eastersealsar.com. We may have an alternative device, and we are often able to purchase devices for trial that are not currently available in our loan library.

What happens if the device doesn’t work?2023-05-16T14:49:02-05:00

Please reach out to outreachprogram@eastersealsar.com for help. Technology can be finicky and we are often able to walk customers through resetting or calibrating the device.

What happens if the student breaks the item?2023-05-16T14:48:49-05:00

esOPTS will repair or replace the device and the district is responsible for reimbursing esOPTS for any costs associated with repairing or replacing the item.

What if I need help knowing how to use the equipment?2023-05-16T14:48:36-05:00

Our team can provide general tips and tricks for the use of the device by contacting us at outreachprogram@eastersealsar.com. We are able to schedule in-person appointments at Easterseals and we can schedule virtual meetings in order to assist with the general use of the device. However, for student specific questions, customers will need to submit a CIRCUIT request via the link: https://arksped.ade.arkansas.gov/sections/CIRCUIT.html.

What if I need the equipment longer than the time frame allotted?2023-05-16T14:48:42-05:00

Unless the item has been requested by a different customer, items can be checked out for an additional 6 week loan period by reaching out to outreachprogram@eastersealsar.com.
