This 2-day (6 hour) professional learning opportunity will explore the roles of school-based occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior specialists, and speech-language pathologists in the school setting. Day 1 will consist of an opening message from the Office of Special Education leadership and keynote from Dr. Erik Carter, Beyond Inclusion: Creating Communities of Belonging for Students with Disabilities. Day 2 will begin with large group professional learning on aligning critical needs to goals. The day will end with breakout sessions from leading experts on a variety of school-based therapy topics with a strand for physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior specialists, and therapists working in early childhood. This is a virtual synchronous event offered at no-cost. Participants will need a computer and access to high-speed internet for both days of the training.
